SHREE MAHALAXMI TEMPLE : AHMEDABAD
About the Temple:
The foundation stone laying ceremony was held on 10th December, 1987.
The statue of Shree Mahalakshmi Mataji was sculptored by the famous sculptor Mr. Sompura, which, accompanied by the statues of Shree Ganapati and Shree Batuk Bhairav, was ceremoniously brought to the newly constructed temple on 29th January, 1990, i.e. on the auspicious day of "Vasantpanchmi" where the festival of rite of investing the idol of Shree Mahakalshmi Mataji with life was inaugurated by Swami Shri Manuvaryaji at 10:00am.
Personalities behind the temple:
Shri Vipinbhai P. Shah (Advocate)
Shri Vipinbhai P. Shah (Advocate) is the Managing Trustee. He is also the Founder Trustee and has played a vital role in the formation of this Trust and in the construction of this temple of Shree Mahalakshmi Mataji..
He is a senior advocate and was also the president of the Co-Operative Bar Association of Gujarat state.
With the help of his selfless efforts, the Trust is carrying on many social and charitable activities. Apart from the Trust, he is also associated with many other religious, social and charitable institutions.
Late Shri Amarprasadbhai B. Vaidya
Late Shri Amarprasadbhai B. Vaidya was the Founder Trustee of this Trust. He was the pioneer of the Ayurvedic College. He was associated with many other religious, social and charitable institutions.
This Trust came into existence due to his great efforts. He had a dream of constructing a fine temple of Shree Mahalakshmi Mataji.
Late Shri Sarabhai G. Patel
Late Shri Sarabhai G. Patel was the Founder Trustee of this Trust. He donated a good amount for the construction of this temple of Shree Mahalakshmi Mataji.
